Dfurstane's Life
Dfurstane’s Life
Erwin K Thomas
The guiding light of Dfurstane’s Life – Jesus said, “With
God all things are possible.” (Mt 19:26).
Meditations that are like his breath are:
God is in control. God, heal our souls.
God is in control. God, save our souls.
These prayers are sung or said - sometimes silently, and repeatedly,
while taking showers, eating meals, talking with family members, and friends,
running errands, driving in traffic, taking walks in the community, listening
to radio news, watching TV, before bedtime, and rising in the morning. It is surprising
how often these simple petitions go unnoticed.
Diverse faiths from the East and West have
shaped Dfurstane’s Spiritual Life: Christianity, Judaism, Islam,
Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Confucianism, Taoism, Shintoism, Primeval Beliefs,
and Secularism.

Ordained by God
On occasions while at UVA Hospital, Charlottesville, VA, Dfurstane
intuitively sensed unusual occurrences that his steps are predestined by God.
He soon discovered he was the recipient of the Gift of Empowerment. This was God’s
power working through him to all sorts of people – abled body, and handicapped
alike. Little did he realize this spiritual journey would lead him and his wife
Mary, to The Blake – a senior living community in Albermarle County,
Virginia.
