Dfurstane's Life
Dfurstane’s Life
Erwin K Thomas
The guiding light of Dfurstane’s Life – Jesus who said, “With
God all things are possible.” (Mt 19:26).
Meditations are like his breath
God is in control. God, heal our souls.
God is in control. God, save our souls.
These short prayers are sung or said at times silently, and repeatedly,
while taking showers, eating meals, talking with family members, and friends,
running errands, driving in traffic, taking walks in the community, listening
to radio news, watching TV, before bedtime, and rising in the morning. It is surprising
how these simple petitions are unnoticed.
Diverse faiths from the East and West have
shaped Dfurstane’s Spiritual Life: Christianity, Judaism, Islam,
Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Confucianism, Taoism, Shintoism, Primeval Beliefs,
and Secularism.

Ordained by God
On occasions while at UVA Hospital, Charlottesville, VA, Dfurstane
intuitively experienced unusual occurrences, and believed his steps are predestined by God.
He discovered he was blessed with the Gift of Empowerment. God’s
power working through him for people – abled body, and handicapped
alike. Little did he foresee that this spiritual journey would lead his wife
Mary and him to reside at The Blake – an assisted living community in Albermarle County,
VA.
